How to install and activate a theme
- Open your Pressy and go to WordPress in the sidebar.
- Open the Themes tab.
- Press Install a theme and search the WordPress.org directory by name.
- Press install on the one you want.
- Press Activate on its row.
Activating changes your live site straight away. Only one theme is active at a time, and switching can move or hide widgets, menus and page layouts that the old theme put there.
If the site is already live and being used, try the theme on a staging copy first.
Customising it
Theme options live inside WordPress, under Appearance → Customise or Appearance → Editor depending on the theme. Press WordPress Admin on your Pressy's overview to get there.
Deleting a theme
You cannot delete the active one. Activate a different theme first, then delete the old.
Keeping one spare theme installed is worth it: if your main theme breaks after an update, switching to the spare gets the site back while you sort it out.
