How to block an IP address

1. Open your Pressy and go to Security in the sidebar.
2. Choose Block these addresses.
3. Enter the address — a single IPv4 or IPv6, or a range like 203.0.113.0/24.
4. Press Add, then Save rule.

That is the ordinary case: one abusive scraper, or one address hammering wp-login.php.

Removing a rule

Remove the addresses and save. The screen confirms IP rule removed. Everyone can reach your site again..

Allowing only certain addresses

This locks out everyone not on the list — visitors, search engines, and you the moment your own address changes.

1. Choose Allow only these addresses.
2. Press Add my address first. Take this offer.
3. Add any other addresses that need in.
4. Press save, and type allow to confirm.

Only use it for a site that should not be public at all — a staging copy, or an internal tool.

If it has locked you out: the site will still load on mobile data, because that is a different address. Sign in to the dashboard from any connection and clear the rule — the dashboard is never blocked by it.

Finding the address to block

Your access log or a security plugin will name it. If you are blocking based on a plugin's report, block the range rather than the single address — most abuse rotates through a block.
