Plan & billing

How billing works

Every Pressy is its own subscription, charged on the day you created it. Three Pressies created in different weeks means three charges on three dates, which is the direct consequence of per-site plans: the thing you can resize alone is also the thing you are billed for alone.

We never see your card number. Cards, tax details and receipts are Stripe's.

One row per Pressy

Each row shows the plan and its add-ons, what it costs, when it renews, and what you can still do with it — manage the plan, cancel, or undo a cancellation before it lands. A Pressy that is ending or suspended says so on its row instead of pretending to renew.

A MiniPressy never appears here: it is free, so there is nothing to bill, refund or cancel through billing.

Invoices

Real Stripe invoices, listed in-app so you do not have to go looking for one, with each row linking out to Stripe's own hosted document. Every row names the Pressy it belongs to rather than only an invoice number.

We do not generate or store invoice documents ourselves — Stripe issues them, which is what keeps the tax side correct in every country we sell to.

For your card, your billing address and your VAT number, Manage billing in Stripe opens Stripe's own portal.

If a payment fails

Nothing happens immediately, and nothing is hidden. The banner names the date we will try again and the date the site would be suspended.

WhenWhat happens
Day 0The payment fails. We email you and retry.
Days 3 and 5Reminders, the second naming the exact suspension date.
Day 7The site is suspended — offline, not deleted.
Days 14 and 30Further reminders while everything stays recoverable.
Day 37The site and its backups are deleted.

Paying at any point before day 37 brings everything back. Your data stays safe for the whole 37 days, and the emails and this screen use the same arithmetic, so they cannot disagree with each other.

Cancelling from here

Cancel subscription on a row cancels at the end of the period: the site stays fully live until the date you have already paid for, then goes offline, and everything is kept for a further 37 days. You can undo it with Keep my subscription any time before it lands.

The Pressy's own Cancel page is the same cancellation through another door — same date, same undo.
