How to reset your PressyPress password
- Go to the sign-in page and press Forgot your password?
- Enter the email address on your account.
- Open the email and click the link.
- Set a new password — at least 10 characters.
Changing it while signed in
- Go to Account in the dashboard.
- Open the Password tab.
- Enter your current password, then the new one twice.
If two-factor is on, you are asked for a code as well.
If you signed up with Google
You have no password until you set one. Same screen: Account → Password, and it asks for a new password without asking for a current one.
Setting one gives you a second way in rather than replacing Google.
Two passwords, and they are not the same
| Signs you into | Reset from | |
|---|---|---|
| PressyPress password | The dashboard — billing, plans, your Pressies | This page |
| WordPress password | Your website's own admin | Here |
Changing one does nothing to the other.
If the reset email does not arrive
- Check spam.
- Check you used the address the account is on. Nothing is sent to an address we do not have.
- If your email provider is bouncing us, your account page shows a warning about it the next time you get in.
When to write to us
Write to us from the address on the account if the reset email never arrives and you cannot get in. If you have lost access to that address too, write from any address and say which Pressy is yours — we will ask you to prove ownership before changing anything.
Didn’t solve it?
Write to us with your Pressy’s address and what you were doing when it went wrong. Answered by the people who built it.
