Backups that are simple

Automatic backups on a schedule, kept for 30 days, stored on our backup server rather than inside your own disk. Manual backups are available, and restores are free.

At a glance

  • Automatic, and kept 30 days
  • They don't eat your storage
  • A backup before every core update
  • Seven days after you cancel

Restores are free, and nobody is counting

Plenty of hosts charge per restore, or hand you two a year and a support queue. Restore as often as the day requires. It never touches your domain or your DNS, so nothing else goes dark while it runs.

One an hour, whenever you want one

Before a plugin update, before a client sends you something they swear is fine. The hourly floor exists so a stuck script can't fill a disk with copies of itself, and for no other reason.

Yours to take away

Download the files and the database as one archive, from your dashboard, at no charge. No ticket, no fee, no export tool to learn. Hosting you can leave is hosting you can trust.

The specifics

Automatic, and kept 30 days
Taken on a schedule you don't have to remember and held for a month, so the problem you noticed on Thursday can be undone with Monday's copy.
They don't eat your storage
Backups live on the backup server, not inside your Pressy. The gigabytes you paid for are for your site.
A backup before every core update
Taken automatically, before the update runs, so the automatic thing and the safety net under it are the same thing.
Seven days after you cancel
Cancelling stops the billing immediately and takes the site offline, but destroys nothing for a week. Change your mind in that window and everything comes back.

The questions people ask

Do you charge for restores?

No. Restores are free and there is no cap on them. It is worth checking on any host you compare us with, because a restore fee is the one charge that arrives on your worst day.

Where are my backups kept?

On a separate backup server, not on your Pressy's own disk. That means they don't count against the storage you are paying for, and a problem with your site's disk is not also a problem with its backups.

Can I download a backup and keep it myself?

Yes, free, from your dashboard, as one archive of the files and the database. You do not need to ask us for it and there is nothing to pay.

The other five

The rest of what people switch for. The whole list is on the features page.

The safety net is not the upsell

Backups, restores and downloads are included on every paid Pressy, at every size.
